Windaroo was part of the City of Gold Coast until 2008, when boundary changes north of the Albert River brought it into Logan. Today it is a settled residential suburb with a relaxed, family-oriented character.
Windaroo residents access shopping, schools and services in the suburb and nearby Beenleigh, with Beenleigh also providing the closest train station. For NDIS participants, transport support can be useful given the suburb's outer location, and support is planned so appointments and activities remain easy to reach.
